Mallorca is home to picturesque landscapes, charming towns, and breathtaking views. Many people will go to Mallorca and stay in the capital Palma, which is beautiful, but there are several charming towns spread out around the Island.
We rented a car during our trip and spent the first half exploring the east coast and the second half in the West, stopping off in as many local towns as possible.

Santanyí: The Market Haven

After indulging in market delights, unwind at one of the cosy cafés, tasting the rich flavour of locally brewed coffee. Don't miss out on visiting Terra Origens, a homeware store brimming with artisanal goods that serve as the perfect mementos of your trip.
Felantix & Andratx: The Serene Enclaves
Renowned for their sleepy local streets and stunning architecture, Felantix and Andratx are perfect for travellers seeking rich local culture. As you drive through, capture the authentic essence of Mallorca with your camera, documenting the quiet, everyday beauty of these traditional towns. Theres not a lot going on here but these towns are worth a coffee stop on your drive past.
Valldemossa: The Hillside Wonder
When exploring Mallorca's west coast, ensure to take a coffee stop at the picturesque hillside town of Valldemossa. Nestled amidst the Sierra de Tramuntana, this town's old stone streets, historic buildings, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape are bound to leave you mesmerised.
Deià: The Artistic Retreat
Perched on a hilltop, Deià is a blend of rustic charm and high-end sophistication. Though some may find Deià a tad pretentious, there's no denying that it's the best place to stay if you're seeking luxury in a stunning villa overlooking the Mediterranean. Just be prepared that Deià’s beach is a long walk away from the town, and it is tiny!
Banyalbufar: The Sunset Paradise
Banyalbufar might be a tiny village on the island's west coast, but it offers a grand spectacle of nature. Venture to the cliffs at dusk and treat yourself to one of the most stunning sunsets you'll ever witness. Then, end your day at one of the cosy local restaurants, enjoying traditional Mallorcan cuisine.
Port Andratx: The Elegant Harbour
