London’s best burger joints

As burger enthusiasts, we have spent countless hours scouring the city, searching for the ultimate burger experience. From trendy hotspots to hidden gems, we have sampled burgers all across the city and are excited to share our top picks with you.

Bleecker burger

Spitalfields, Victoria, Westfield, Bloomberg

Super simple yet knockout burgers. They may not look like much, but once you bite into the juicy patties, your mind will be blown! We always go for the double cheeseburger (the patties are thin) with a mix of normal and house fries.

We’ve regularly ordered these over Deliveroo, and they keep well during delivery too.

Patty & Bun

White City, Notting Hill, Bond St, Oxford Circus, Leicester Sq, Liverpool St, Hackney, London Bridge, Clapham Junction

A double patty beef burger from patty and Bun in London

We first found Patty & Bun when we moved to London and were instantly hooked. The burgers are thicker and messy, but they come in handy wrapping that makes them easier to eat. They rotate their specials, but our go-to options are the Smokey Robinson and the Hot chick with a mix of chicken skin and rosemary fries. If you’re starving, the chicken wings are delicious, too and don’t forget the house hot sauce.

Butchies

Clapham, Ealing, Earls Courts, Shoreditch, Victoria

Cheeeeeesey buttermilk chicken! Butchies doesn’t have the most refined interior or seating, but it’s the best chicken burger on this list. The cheesy rider is our usual with some buffalo wings on the side.

Meat Liquor

Clapham, Bloomsbury, Shoreditch, Queensway, Fitzrovia, Dulwich, Islington

Take Patty & Bun and Butchies, put them together in a dark room and blast loud rock music and you get Meat Liquor. They cover everything with lots of little bit options to choose from as well, just don’t expect to find it easy to chat over the loud music

Double patty beef burger with melting cheese from Five Guys in London

Yes it’s a massive chain but it’s making the list because it’s our choice for a quick and easy burger. The fries are incredible, and they give you a hell of a lot of them!
