Incredible fine-dining food in a stunning laid-back environment at a great price (if you are used to UK dining prices). MUST GO if you’re in Nairobi.
Cultiva Farm quickly became one of our favourite dining experiences of the year. Nestled in the lush jungle-like part of Nairobi, the restaurant’s environment is nothing short of stunning. With an abundance of natural light and a design that makes you feel as though you’re still outdoors, it offers an enchanting and serene setting for a meal.
The food is simply incredible. The fish dishes, in particular, are standout – fresh, flavorful, and plated with artistic flair. Every bite reflects the care and attention to detail put into the preparation.
The service is equally exceptional, with a team that makes you feel warmly welcomed and well cared for throughout your visit. Adding to the charm is the open kitchen, where you can watch the chefs work their magic – a fascinating and engaging touch that elevates the entire dining experience.
A note on getting here
Cultiva is located in the Karen district of Nairobi, and getting a taxi back to the city can be tricky. We recommend using Uber or a similar service to arrange a driver. Ask the driver about the cost of waiting for you while you enjoy your time at Cultiva and then taking you back to Nairobi.
While you're in the area, consider visiting the nearby Karen Blixen Museum before or after your meal.
Overall, the easiest way to explore Nairobi is by hiring a driver for the day. It’s convenient, allows for flexibility, and ensures you don’t have to worry about transport between locations.
